Directions for Using a Candle Wick

Select & Prepare : Choose a wick that matches the diameter and type of candle you are making, then trim the wick to the appropriate length based on the candle's container height, typically leaving about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above the wax surface.
Place : Center and secure the wick in the candle container using a wick sticker, adhesive, or hot glue, ensuring it remains straight and upright during pouring and setting.
Pour & Cure the Candle : Carefully pour melted wax into the container. Allow it to cool and cure completely before trimming the wick to the desired length and lighting it for the first time.
Maintenance : Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each subsequent use to prevent mushrooming, excessive flame height, and carbon buildup, so that the candle can continue to burn in a safe manner.
