A solvent-extracted or alcohol-extracted resinoid produced from the dried, fragrant, balsamic resin obtained by tapping the bark of mature Styrax tonkinensis Craib ex Hartwich trees — large, deciduous tropical trees belonging to the Styracaceae family.
