The result is a pale yellow to light golden, thin, liquid with an intensely fresh, sweet-tart, clean citrus character that is brighter and more diffuse than lemon, sweeter and less sharp than lime, and with a distinctive slightly bitter-fresh undertone that is uniquely grapefruit.
Grapefruit Essential Oil is dominated by d-Limonene at 88% to 95% of its total composition — the highest limonene content of any commercial citrus essential oil — a monoterpene with powerful antioxidant, antibacterial, mood-lifting, and natural solvent properties.
