Lemongrass Oil is one of India's most important essential oils. Its high citral content gives a strong, fresh lemon smell at a much lower cost than citrus oils, and it stays stable in soaps and detergents.

It is an essential oil steam distilled from lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus or Cymbopogon citratus). It is rich in citral, which gives its strong, fresh lemon aroma.
Pure lemongrass oil usually contains 70–85% citral. Our high citral grade has 80–85%.
East Indian oil (Cymbopogon flexuosus) is higher in citral and low in myrcene. West Indian oil (Cymbopogon citratus) has more myrcene and a softer, more herbal note.
Lemongrass oil is rich in citral and smells strongly of lemon. Citronella oil is rich in citronellal and geraniol and is mostly used in repellents and soaps.
The standard 70–75% citral grade is most commonly used for soaps, detergents and cleaners. Use the high citral grade for cosmetics and premium products.
